Jan Lisiecki rejects the enfant prodige label, but making his concert debut at only 9 years of age shows an uncommon natural talent. At the age of 13 he began traveling the world performing in the most prestigious theaters. And today, at 26 he is recognized as one of the greatest pianists of our time. Jan Lisiecki was born in Canada to Polish parents and began studying piano at the age of five, making his orchestral debut at age nine.

According to Jan, an inspiring person can be described as "well traveled," because knowing the world makes one wiser, more humble and open to grasping the good in every aspect of life.

He shows up at rehearsals almost always in geometric print T-shirts, sometimes in Bermuda shorts, while in front of the audience he often sports big bow ties with original designs and elegant suits. The hallmark of his wardrobe, however, are his socks, which are always different and imaginative." 

She calls herself "fashion-conscious" but does not want to be extravagant or trendy. Dressing is an art, and apart from when she performs during concerts in fancy dresses and patent leather shoes, she normally has a very casual style in her everyday life.
